Effective July, 2011, boat launch fee payments and permits are no longer required at Raystown Lake!  As such, there is no fee to launch a boat at any Corps of Engineers managed boat launch at Raystown Lake.

Boaters should note that launch fees may apply at other Corps of Engineers lakes and projects, and privately managed facilities (i.e. marinas) at Raystown Lake.

Lifetime Discount Passes:

America the Beautiful Passes are interagency discount passes that offer reductions for specific fees charged at Corps of Engineers, National Park Service, Forest Service and other federal facilities. There are four types of America the Beautiful Passes.

• SENIOR America the Beautiful Passes can only be purchased in person, for a one-time cost of $10, by individuals who are 62+ years old. The Senior pass offers a 50% discount on use fees. At Raystown, senior card holders can use their discount pass towards camping fees.

• ACCESS America the Beautiful Passes are only issued in person, free of charge, to individuals that can provide proof of a state recognized disability. The Access pass offers a 50% discount on use fees. At Raystown, access card holders can use their discount pass towards camping fees.

• ANNUAL America the Beautiful Passes can be purchased for $80 by anyone and used towards park entrance fees. There are no park entrance fees at Raystown. Therefore the annual pass at Raystown has no value.

• VOLUNTEER America the Beautiful Passes are issued to individuals who have provided 500+ volunteer hours. The volunteer pass can only be used towards park entrance fees. There are no park entrance fees at Raystown. Therefore the volunteer pass at Raystown has no value.

Senior and Access discounts can be taken at Raystown only when the appropriate America the Beautiful pass is presented upon request. Unfortunately the Corps of Engineers, Raystown Lake is not authorized (by Congress) to issue any America the Beautiful pass. However, passes can be obtained from any of the other federal land management agencies. We suggest you visit the National Park Service website for more information about obtaining these passes and to locate a National Park office closest to you that issues these passes.

Locations closest to Raystown that issue Senior and Access passes include:

• Johnstown Flood National Memorial in South Fork, PA (Visit their website)

• Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site in Gallitzin, PA (Visit the website)

• Catoctin Mountain Park in Thurmont, MD (Visit their website)

Golden Age and Access Passport cards are no longer available. Visitors who currently have Golden Age or Access cards may still use their cards as they have previously. However, should the card holder lose their Golden card they must obtain a new card under the new America The Beautiful Pass program to receive their discount. A valid card must be presented to receive a discount on applicable fees.
