Raystown Lake has recently revised the project’s Operational Management Plan for forest and wildlife management for the 30,000 acres of lands and waters at Raystown Lake. Over the past several years this program has involved many non-profit organizations such as Ducks Unlimited, the National Wild Turkey Federation, the Pennsylvania Trappers Association, the Ruffed Grouse Society and several local watershed groups. These groups have contributed funds or provided assistance for numerous projects including wetland creation, forest pest suppression, wildlife food plantings and trail improvements.   These efforts combined with ongoing volunteer programs such as a full time Pennsylvania Conservation Corps Crew, an AmeriCorps member and several benefits from Agricultural lease off-sets, Raystown Lake has recently increased the availability of suitable habitat such as food sources and cover for a variety of wildlife.  The following is some information on some of our important partners.
