Accessible only by boat, Nancy’s Boat-to-Shore Campground offers a remote camping experience like no other. Nancy’s is located halfway on the lake between marker 15 and 16 on the western shore. The Campground is nestled amongst mature trees and opens up to a sunny grass covered slope near the shoreline. In addition to a beautiful location, Nancy’s offers:
Open year-round. Nancy’s camp is open 12 months a year, but access may be limited due to ice or other weather conditions No showers. There are no showers located at Nancy’s camp, however Nancy’s campers have free access to the showers located at the Seven Points Beach change house located near marker nine. Unimproved sites. Sites do not have a defined living area and sizes may vary. Each site is identified by a post and includes a picnic table and fire ring. For information specific to each site, contact the
Registering a Site
There are no reservations at Nancy’s Camp and all sites are available on a first come, first served basis. Site availability is updated daily throughout the summer and can obtained by contacting the Ranger Station at (814) 658-6809. Keep in mind that site availability is subject to change at anytime and cannot be guaranteed. Upon your arrival at Nancy’s Camp simply choose any unoccupied campsite (site without a post permit) and locate the identification number on the post. Payment is due once a camper has occupied and/or registered for a site and can be made by cash or check. Payments are to be made at the registration kiosk and deposited in the honor vault. Specific payment procedures are posted at the kiosk.
Golden Age/Access or America The Beautiful Senior/Access discounts are applicable to campsite fees. The discount card number should be written in the space provided on the registration envelope. Cardholders must be prepared to present their card to a ranger upon request to be eligible for the discount. Discounts are only applied to a single campsite. To make your camping trip hassle free, here’s a few tips that will help you plan a truly enjoyable vacation.
● Although Nancy’s campers may launch from any public boat launch at Raystown, most prefer James Creek for its close proximity to Nancy’s and ample parking. To locate James Creek and other launches, access the lake map here.
Need a brochure, band-aid or answer? Park Rangers patrol Nancy's and launches regularly and are available to assist you!
● Want to camp at Nancy’s, but still have a hot shower? Nancy’s campers have free access to the Seven Points beach change house showers just a 20 minute boat ride away.
● Lake rules, news and events are posted for your convenience at the Restroom bulletin board.
● Due to the remote location, emergency response can take up to 30 minutes to reach Nancy’s Camp. Please think and recreate safely!
● When paying your fees exact change is preferred.
