Stacked loop trail: The ATS consists of numerous individual trails built on a stacked loop system. Trekkers can choose the length and difficulty of their trip and still be able to start and end at the same trailhead.
Difficulty Rating: Trails are indentified by color on maps and signs according to difficulty. Green trails are easiest, blue are intermediate and black are the most difficult. In general; the farther from the trailhead, the more difficult the trail.

The award-winning and much publicized ATS is leased from the Corps of Engineers, and managed by the Friends of Raystown Lake. The Friends is a non-profit, volunteer organization that supports the recreation and natural resource opportunities at Raystown Lake. You can support the Allegrippis and Raystown by becoming a Friend. To learn more, click here.
The trails are meticulously maintained by the dedicated members of the Raystown Mountain Bike Association (RMBA) and other volunteers. To learn more about RMBA, trail conditions, and ride & work events visit their webpage at www.allegrippistrails.com.
Trail construction was a twelve year long, multi-partner project. In addition to the Friends and RMBA, many other organizations were there to support making the trails a reality including:
Appalachian Regional Commission
Corps of Engineers
Huntingdon County Business & Industry
Huntingdon County Visitor’s Bureau
International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA)
Juniata College Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership
